  1. Gee, Lucy, that list confirms what an outstandng success it's been. I can understand now why George is keen to get started in Iran now.

Of course, some people actually learn from their mistakes! Cheers.

  2. Every cloud has a silver lining apparently, hard to think of one from the Iraq adventure except Saddam is gone, but with hindsight, was it worth it?

  3. No silver lining as far as I'm concerned. None. Perhaps there will be one someday, but I'm not sure what it will be.

  4. More like an OILY lining......

  5. So LucyP, is TonyB still planning a troop reduction within the year? I suggest beating GeorgeW with a banger to get that conversation going. We've done so much harm there and here in the U.S...the world, really.

  6. I thought a "banger" was a sausage, or is that an old-fashioned meaning?

  7. Yes, banger = sausage. My nod to LucyP ;)

  8. Banger, chipolata, a piece of 4x2, actually beating him with anything would be a good thing. As far as i know Jodie, there are still plans to start withdrawing our troops starting this summer. I just hope there is not plans to redeploy them to another middle eastern country next door.

  9. No civilians killed by terrorists in the US since the invasion.

No more shut downs of the largest financial district in the world.

    Could have been better:
    Wish no Iraqi civilians suffered.
    Wish no troops suffered.

    But, worth it.

  10. I said it before - if you really believe what you post, you won't do it anonymously.

Besides, it wasn't an "invasion". Invasions don't start at the INS office.

  11. That wasn't me, btw, in case you were wondering, Joe. I'm not as attached to the coinkydink notion as I used to be. Plus, anonymizing is for wimps.

  12. I didn't think it was you. I'm wondering NOW, though. :-)
