More Proof Of Killer Climate Change

According to a new report from the World Meteorological Organisation, from 1971 to 1980 there were 247 natural disasters from floods, storms, droughts and heat waves influenced by climate change and in the years between 1981 ands 1990 there were 454.
Between 1991 and 200 there were 760 and between 2001 and 2010 there were 1038 so even the most ludicrous climate change denier with the hackneyed same old excuses can see that natural disasters due to climate change are occurring nearly five times as often as they were in the 1970s.
Flooding is the leading cause of disasters with 80% of disasters due to flooding by extreme storms and rising seas levels and responsible for 1.45m of the 1.94m global climate change deaths since 1970.
Despite the thousands of peer-reviewed scientific papers already bringing things home to a public that has been badly misinformed by a lot of the right wing media and other gullible useful idiots, the more reports of this kind spelling it out can only help drive home the message that climate change is happening now and we need to do something drastic to slow its fatal and destructive power.

Just so you don't get me wrong, I am convinced of the fact of human influenced climate change. But I still challenge your statement. There may well be more weather disasters but there are two things in addition to climate change that influence the reporting of such disasters. One is that world wide communications and monitoring are much greater then in past decades. The other is that population has grown and expanded into more and more hazardous locations.

How do they know the impact of climate change? Did you bang your head on the trail of the lonesome pine??

Anon - My statement was that there have been more natural disasters each decade since the 1970s as is borne out by the WHO evidence. My post title was a nod towards the 1.94m that have been killed by climate change so i am unsure what it is you are challenging.
