Too Hot

Considering that Kuwait hit 111F, Iraq 108F and Saudi Arabia 102F it seems particularly churlish to moan about our temperatures in Britain rising to 86F but that isn't going to stop me because it was darned hot today and there is more to come.
It is so hot in the UK that an extreme heat warning has been issued by the MET office, a Level 2 warning if you please, and an alert for people to avoid staying outdoors, avert dehydration by drinking cool liquids and to keep their homes cool day and night.
'It'll turn hotter in the south over the next couple of days as humid air moves in from the very warm continent with temperatures of over 30C (86F) likely in parts of the south' said the Weatherman, 'The humidity will make it uncomfortable for many, and there is a health risk, so people should take care to keep cool'.
Thank you and it's a cold flannel on the back of the neck and sticking the pillow case in the fridge for me. We had better get a decent thunderstorm out of it!
It must be a mid-July thing because i posted this about staying cool on hot days almost to the day last year so i'm taking my own advice and it's a cold flannel on the back of the neck, damp socks and sticking the pillow case in the fridge for me.
We had better get a decent thunderstorm out of it!
