Madhouse - Anthrax

Of the millions of songs which have been recorded, only 30 songs can make it into The Lucy Museum of Musicians who deserve entry to Lucy's Museum of Musicians and at number 30 we have Madhouse by Anthrax (1985).

I'm very much a fair weather fan of Heavy Metal, back in the 1980's they were all greasy hair and tattoo's and smelt of engine oil so i avoided the whole headbanging, grebo thing but some songs from the time do stand out.
Madhouse is exactly how Heavy Metal should sound in my head, buzzsaw guitars, thumping bass, screaming riffs, pounding drums, face
melting solo's and singer Joey Belladonna's voice isn't unpleasant and he sings rather than shouts and screams his way through the song about his mental state.
Don't know what Anthrax did before or after Madhouse, apparently they are still going, and as they have never entered my consciousness since i expect this was a short lived foray into something more melodic before returning to something much more shouty.
