Whistle For The Choir - The Fratellis

Of the millions of songs which have been recorded, only 30 songs can make it into The Lucy Museum of Musicians who deserve entry to Lucy's Museum of Musicians and at number 28 we have Whistle For The Choir by The Fratellis (2006).

Named after a family in The Goonies, The Fratellis as a band didn't hang around too long and were not known for their more slower tempo songs but this was the second of their only top ten hits so maybe they should have done more laid-back songs like this.
A floaty sort of song which starts off with a simple strumming acoustic guitar and builds to something more Fratelli-esque although the whistling solo could have been left out.
They have recently got back together after the singers unsuccessful trip into a solo career but that ship has probably sailed for them and their Britpop sound, now resigned to history which is a shame because we could do with more bands and their up-tempo guitar songs like The Fratellis today.
