UK Election Result 115 Days To Go

Everyone is too scared to say who they think will win the British General Election in May, hiding behind the 'it's too close to call' amidst much frowning but anyone who has read this blog for any length of time will know that we have an almost foolproof way of knowing who will win, Google Trends.
The system has correctly chosen almost every single winner of the major elections over the last few years (Japan, Australia, USA, UK, France, Egypt, Serbia, Mexico, Netherlands, Venezuela)  and although this is a bit further out then normal, it is predicting a win for Ed Miliband and the Labour Party, UKIP the runner up and the Conservatives licking their wounds in 3rd place. The Lib Dem's don't even figure as not enough people have searched for them apparently.
The final results are usually based on the last 30 days and as we have over 100 days to go this is tenuous at best and it will tighten up the closer we get to 7th May so don't hock your jewellery or visit the bookies with your rent just yet but you might want to gently start mocking anyone with a 'Vote Conservative' Poster in their window.

Disclaimer: Google Trend does have an impressive record at predicting election results but past performance is not an indication of future performance. Only gamble what you can afford to lose or failing that, do what the bankers do and only gamble with other people's money.

It would seem like either the Conservatives or UKIP would collapse at some point in the near future. Don't they appeal to mostly the same voters?

It's going to be interesting because UKIP are taking voters as the Conservatives but the SNP is set to take votes off Labour in Scotland so looks as though we might not be only heading for another coalition but a coalition of 3 or even maybe 4 parties.
