80,000 NHS Staff Shaped Hole

I am normally a fan of the nudge theory, where a public policy involves using behaviour and psychology to influence the behavior of people to help achieve goals, it gives the person a choice but they are aware of the consequences if they don't so i supported the idea of a Covid Passport which would allow people certain advantages if they could prove they were vaccinated.
The Government never really went down the subtle nudge avenue though and are now facing up to 80,000 NHS staff, 10%, being sacked due to the 'be-vaccinated-or-lose-your-job' order.
As the NHS was chronically understaffed anyway, the ideas of losing a further 80,000 is frightening so something will have to give and the Royal College of GPs are arguing that the deadline was not the right way forward and should be delayed to prevent the staff shortages.
NHS staff must have a first jab by 3 February and be fully vaccinated by 1 April to continue in their current roles but we may be seeing the first signs of the Government blinking because the instructions have been slightly amended to face the sack or be redeployed into a non-patient facing role.
The Prime Minister also said on Wednesday that healthcare workers had a 'professional responsibility' to get the jab but then mumbled very softly to a question regarding losing so many staff, that he would: 'reflect on the way ahead' which i guess means even he wouldn't be able to try and fudge his way past such a monumental 80,000 health workers shaped hole in NHS staff like he has the Downing Street Parties.
If Johnson fails to heed calls for a rethink, he could very well lose his job before all those health service staff lose theirs.
