Long Weekend Meteor Watching

The forecast is for clear skies this weekend which is perfect as it coincides with one of the the highlight of the stargazers calendar, the Perseid meteor shower.
We have the tent packed, the sleeping bags rolled up and new batteries in the lamps and it's off to the darkest campsite we could find to marvel for a few nights at particles of debris entering the Earth's atmosphere. Brilliant.

Lucy, I can understand your need to get away for a few days especially when you have to deal with Dumber and Dumber all the time!

Enjoy your time because they'll both be there when you get back exposing to the world their pitiful ignorance and intellectual poverty!

My, GREAT BRITAIN has done well in the Olympics, haven't they? Of course, like America, they do well in bombing defenseless people too!

Cheers!

You're too generous, David. Don't give us all the credit for this. Apparently we've got Australian coaches feeding us expensive performance enhancing drugs, and this is what helps us target our bombs so much better, in order to kill more & more defenceless people.

Not a great showing here either q, Friday & Saturday night were perfect conditions but long periods of nothing.
