To keep the Israeli Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, in his cabinet, Benjamin Netanyahu was widely reported to have told him that Israel would resume its war on Gaza, irrespective of the terms of the ceasefire and today the genocide in Gaza continued after a short break.
At least 404 Palestinians have been killed overnight and over 600 injured as Israel attacked the Strip, citing Hama's refusal to accept the ceasefire deal which would have seen a tosal withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and and end to hostilities in return for the relases of the remaining 59 hostages held by Hamas.
Despite agreeing to the deal which was split into three stages with part two due to come into action, Israel and America were pushing instead for an extension of Part One and the return of all remaining hostages in exchange for further prisoner releases and a 30- to 60-day truce and when Hamas said No, Israel accussed the group of a refusal to release hostages and the attacks began again.
So with ammunition stocks replenished thanks to US deliveries and troops rested, off we go again and the 48,700 death toll of Palestinians in 18 months at the hands of Israel, is sure to swell horribly in the latest attempt to push the Palestinians off their land by either reducing it to rubble so nobody can live there or by killing them all and to be fair, I don't think Israel mind whichever way as long as their settlers get it afterwards.
