You Can Trust Me, I Have A Certificate

At some times in the 90's i went on a First Aid course and after a day of learning how to deal with nosebleeds, perform the Heimlich maneuver if someone is choking and how to dress burns and scalds, i got handed a certificate which is inside a cardboard box in a cupboard somewhere but as a trained medical person who can tell you to pinch the top of your nose if it is bleeding, i see how it is now.
I have been banging on about the dangers of Boris Johnson's plan of opening up the UK whilst the Pandemic is raging as madness and nobody takes any notice but when the head of the Royal College of Nursing, the World Health Organisation and 150 of the top UK doctors say it everyone starts getting worried.
Anyway, it is nice to see that the top medics of the British Medical Association have now belatedly backed me up by declaring that: 'The government’s current public infection control strategy is not working, it is leading to rocketing case numbers with more illness in the community, more people in hospital, and more people having to isolate. It is time for an urgent rethink rather than staying on the same course'.
As the people at the sharp end they should know but it isn't just almost all the medical people and me with my First Aid certificate in the 'WTF are you doing' corner, we are joined by the scientists who have described the UK's tactics as 'a disaster' and one went as far as to describe it as 'murderous' as aiming for herd immunity would mean pursuing a policy in the knowledge that it would lead to many thousands of deaths.
There you have it then and if you can't take the word of the Medical and Science community and someone who has a bit of paper that certifies me to run your burnt fingers under a cold tap for five minutes, then frankly whose word can you take?

First Aid Certificate available for viewing on demand if i can find it, nosebleeds should be dealt with by pinching the top of your nose and leaning your head forward, or backwards, it's one of those anyway but probably forward otherwise you will get blood down your blouse and that's not a good look especially if it is a really nice one.
